Kinsip House of Fine Spirits is a family-owned craft distillery based in the heart of Prince Edward County. Established in the late 1800’s during the booming Barley Days of PEC, the farm originally grew barley and hops. Kinsip now specializes in the distillation of fine spirits, as well as producing speciality and small batch artisanal offerings, bitters, and whisky infused maple syrup. Guests can walk amongst the roaming chickens and visit the tasting room located in the grand Cooper-Norton house built in the Second Empire style.
Sovereign State developed a nose-to-tail rebrand in close collaboration with the family behind the purchase of the distillery – formally known as 66 Gilead. This included robust strategy sessions, brand renaming, product naming, and the design of a connective brand system. Each design empowers the products uniquely within their respective categories, while still remaining firmly under the Kinsip umbrella. The Sovereign State and Kinsip collaboration continues to this day as an active and fruitful partnership.
